Approximately half my years on this planet (or more) are behind me. For years, I've been making lists and pinning locations I hoped to visit someday. But, like most of us, the responsibilities of adulting took priority over my starving passion for travel, adventures, and risks. Taking care of others' needs before my own, occasionally working multiple jobs, and paying off school loans and a mortgage meant pushing those travel dreams into the big fat ’maybe-someday’ folder.
Until one day when I woke up with the crazy idea to rewrite my story. One crazy dream delivered the courage and plan to make my dreams a reality. I made the executive decision to flip my world upside down and start truly living a life packed full of new experiences and no regrets. I bravely set off on an indefinite journey without long-term plans, a job, or a final destination. But the infinite possibilities of this lifestyle change made it impossible for me to second guess this decision.
Have the past 40+ years on this planet equipped me with enough experience, survival skills, and common sense to trust my gut and go with the flow? If I use my innate curiosity about people, cultures, and places to steer my ship, where will I go? How can I apply my career skills in new and unforeseen ways? What sorts of exciting new things will I learn on this journey?
